Steadville senior citizens receive winter blankets
Abantu For Progress, in partnership with the Ladysmith Muslim community, conducted the outreach programme.
A recent community outreach initiative brought warmth and smiles to senior citizens in Steadville’s Ward 10, where blankets were distributed to help residents cope with the winter cold.
The event was planned and co-ordinated by Abantu For Progress – Community & Youth Development Organisation NPO, in partnership with the Ladysmith Muslim community, who sponsored the blanket distribution.
Ward councillor gives thanks
Ward 10 Councillor Mr Mngadi attended the event and thanked the organisers and sponsors for their generosity and commitment to caring for senior citizens during the cold season. He commended the collaborative effort, highlighting the positive impact that community partnerships have on the lives of local residents.
The recent initiative reflects the spirit of community support and compassion, ensuring that some of the area’s most vulnerable residents receive much-needed assistance during the winter months.
