Autobarn Parts People, together with Team Supersonic, once again hosted one of the region’s largest and most successful automotive events, ‘Show Off Your Ride‘, bringing together petrol-heads and families from across the region.

Organisers Mahesh Shah and Terrence said that what started as a platform for car enthusiasts to showcase their vehicles has grown into something much bigger than just a car show.

“It’s become a celebration of automotive culture, featuring incredible vehicle displays, adrenaline-filled sound competitions, live entertainment and unforgettable after-parties,” they said.

Event marks major milestone

This year, the popular event celebrated its 20th edition, marking a significant milestone for organisers Mahesh Shah and Terrence Chetty.

Shah and Chetty further said that, over the years, Show Off Your Ride has also provided a platform for local talent, giving aspiring DJs the opportunity to perform alongside some of South Africa’s biggest names.

This year’s event was no exception, with stand-out performances by DJ Rhea and DJ Dalootz, who helped create an electric atmosphere and kept the crowds entertained long after the judging had ended.

From classic cars and custom builds to high-performance machines, booming sound systems and great music, Show Off Your Ride has continued to unite the Newcastle community through a shared passion for motoring and entertainment.

“A heartfelt thank you to every participant, spectator, sponsor, volunteer and supporter who has been part of this incredible journey over the past 20 years. Your passion and commitment have made Show Off Your Ride a true Newcastle institution,” they concluded.
