Residents of Ladysmith and surrounding communities will have access to a wide range of free medical services when the Ramakrishna Clinic of South Africa, Ladysmith Sub-Centre, hosts a comprehensive medical outreach clinic on Sunday, September 20.

The outreach will take place at Acaciavale Primary School from 07:00 to 13:00 and is open to all deserving members of the community.

Comprehensive medical care under one roof

The initiative aims to make essential healthcare services more accessible to members of the community who may otherwise struggle to obtain specialised medical care and preventative health services.

A comprehensive range of medical services will be available during the outreach, including general medicine, paediatrics, physician services, general surgery, orthopaedics and rheumatology.

Community members will also be able to access optometry, audiology, podiatry, dental care, physiotherapy and dietetics services.

Free testing, screening and medication

The outreach clinic will further provide HIV testing and counselling, preventative screening and comprehensive blood screening.

Patients will also have access to ECG and ultrasound services, as well as pharmaceutical services through the on-site pharmacy.

All services, medication and testing will be provided free of charge, making the outreach an important opportunity for residents to address their healthcare needs without the burden of medical costs.

Residents urged to arrive early

Members of the public are encouraged to arrive early, as services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The outreach clinic will give community members an opportunity to have their health concerns assessed, receive appropriate medical advice, and access screening and treatment services at one location.
