Tholulwazi Primary pupil excels at Provincial Games

Siyamthanda is making his mark in 1500m race-walking

Siyamthanda Asiphile Mazibuko recently represented his school with pride in the arena of athletics.

As a learner at Tholulwazi Primary School in Watersmeet, he excels at race-walking.

His ‘journey’ started at circuit level, where he came first.

He continued on his path to success at the Uthukela District Games held at LHS on February 27.

That afforded him the opportunity to represent the district at the Provincial Games in Pietermaritzburg at the Harry Gwala Stadium. He once again excelled, coming second and securing a silver medal.

He recently represented the province at the National Games, which were also held at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
