A trip through history for Drakensview learners

The learners were very excited and learned a lot during their visit

Drakensview Primary School’s Grade 4 learners have the chance to go on excursions again, since the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

The excursion to the Nelson Mandela Capture Site has been attended for many years (other than the lockdown period).

From May 15-17, this year’s learners had their chance to see the world-famous ‘Release’ sculpture, as well as the new Apartheid Museum.
The learners were very excited and learned a lot during their visit.

At the end of the tour, the children also participated in an educational class hosted by the guides at the capture site.
