Wonderland hosts 26th mini-athletics day

It was a day that inspired and comforted parents that their young children are growing healthily in a safe and loving setting.

Hearty congratulations to the management, staff and learners of Wonderland Pre-Primary School for their scintillating performance at their 26th annual mini-athletics day.

Principal, Roshilla Singh, stressed that learning sporting skills is an integral aspect of every child’s life as it enhances fitness, discipline, respect, resilience, teamwork, self-esteem and overall development.

The athletics day saw the entire school and sports field decorated with colourful buntings and banners.

The day commenced with a spectacular parade and performance by each group, with different coloured pom-poms representing their classes.

Mrs Singh encouraged the cheerful atmosphere displayed by everyone and she must be complimented for providing her personal leadership, mentorship, and pastoral care to those associated with her.

“The staff and learners showcased an impressive and well-planned programme with immense enthusiasm which definitely contributed positively to the community,” said Mrs Singh.

It was a day that inspired and reassured parents that their little children are well developed in a safe and loving environment.

Parents also had fun participating in activities and developing social bonds with each other.

Prizes were awarded to many parents while all learners and prize-winners cherished their gold medals and refreshments.

“Another milestone event in every child’s life which created treasured memories,” Mrs Singh concluded.
