Egerton’s athletes bring home medals from champs

69 Egerton athletes proudly represented NKZN at the KZNCSSA Athletics Championships recently.

Over two days of intense competition, the athletes brought home an impressive 25 medals, of which eight were gold, eight silver and nine bronze.

Well done to Jonathan van Heerden, who was awarded the Junior Victor Ludorum trophy for his outstanding performance in the boys’ U/11 category. He competed in four events, namely 100m, turbo javelin, shot put and high jump.

Egerton is also thrilled to announce that 27 of their athletes have been selected for the KZN athletics team and will be competing at the National Championships in Sasolburg.
