Proud moment

Monument Primary School is celebrating a proud achievement after several of its learners were selected to represent regional Inland hockey teams. The announcement highlights the learners’ commitment, talent and dedication to the sport.

Young talent recognised

Tholithemba Mkhize and Nompumelelo Mokonatsi were selected for the U/13 Uthukela girls’ team, while Zabby Buquane was named as a non-travelling reserve.

The U/12 Uthukela girls’ team also saw strong representation from the school, with Elihle Hadebe, Yandisa Mbhele, Lwandiswa Sithole and Makathandwe Zondi all earning their places in the team.

Boys’ teams

In the boys’ category, Jesse Marais was selected for the U/12 team. In the U/13 boys’ division, Refentse Masetlwa and Wandile Madladla were both named as non-travelling reserves.

Hard work pays off

These selections reflect the learners’ consistent effort and determination throughout the season. Their achievement stands as a testament to the growing strength of hockey development at the school.
