Estcourt High School has expressed joy following success on the rugby field for some of its learners, who have been selected to take part in Provincial and Midlands teams.

Slindokuhle earns Sharks U/18 selection

The school congratulates Slindokuhle Miya on being selected for the Sharks Under-18 Women’s Provincial Team. After attending trials on May 10 and earning a place in the practice squad, she worked tirelessly through five weeks of training and travel to Durban before securing her place in the final squad of 23.

Boys selected for Midlands team

Estcourt High School is also proud of its boys who have been selected to represent the Midlands rugby team. Under 18: Elihle Mtshali, Menzokuhle Ndlovu, Sbonga Mnguni, Sinakhokonke Mswane and Tiaan Eden, as well as non-travelling reserves Ngcebo Mvelase and Thando Dlamini. Under 16: Kamo Mofolo, Kwenzokuhle Madlala (captain) and Thabiso Ndlovu (non-travelling).

Flying the school flag high

Both Slindokuhle and the above-mentioned boys will proudly represent their regions on bigger stages. Slindokuhle will travel to Gqeberha with the Sharks U/18 Women’s team, while the Midlands boys’ team will compete in the Free State.
