Abdul and Sebanele win Spelling Bee Mega Challege
The competition forms part of the municipality's efforts to promote literacy and encourage a culture of reading.
Alfred Duma Local Municipality hosted the Spelling Bee Mega Challenge at the Civic Hall yesterday (September 9). The event saw primary school children battling it out to spell all the words correctly.

The judges described the competition as being very tough and competitive in both English and IsiZulu.
The competition forms part of the municipality’s efforts to promote literacy, encourage a culture of reading, and provide learners with a platform to showcase and develop their spelling and language skills.
