On idiot drivers

‘Non Lucky Packet Driver’ writes:-
IT is sad to see so many ‘Lucky Packet’ drivers there are on our roads!
Just last week I was almost involved in two accidents all because of an idiot driver, just like the one on your front page two weeks ago. The driver, might I add, was an NV-registered vehicle and he just decided that the rules of the road don’t apply to him!
If it is a solid white line, that means, DO NOT OVERTAKE! How difficult is it to understand? And, worse of all, these idiots think they can see over a blind rises.
Look, I don’t know where/when you got your license from, but my life is important to me, and I want to continue living it. Taking chances over blind rises and overtaking on corners is a risk you, as an idiot driver is willing to take, but when you put my life and the lives of other drivers at risk, that’s just selfish!
Also, a fair warning to those travelling in the Scheepersnek area, near the Tea Cup, drivers don’t seem to know what an indicator means. I was turning into the Tea Cup, my indicator showing my intention when I noticed a vehicle overtaking a line of cars behind me. Just as well I looked in my side mirror, had I not, the driver would have ‘T-boned’ me. That road is very dangerous as drivers do not understand what double white lines mean, nor a speed limit of 80km’s per hour, a total disregard of the speed bumps and the mere fact that there is a school there with learners crossing that road.
Please, let’s eliminate the deaths on our road, and the first way we can do so is by paying more attention to how we drive, and paying more attention to those drivers around us!
