On Saturday my husband and I shopped at a local supermarket an I mistakenly dropped my wallet.

I did not notice that I dropped the wallet and drove away.

I stopped to draw money and noticed that my wallet was missing and I immediately returned to the shop and inquired about my wallet, no one seemed to know about it.

I proceeded to my bank to stop the account and intended to do the same regarding the other lost cards.

I was very disheartened because my drivers licence was also in the wallet.

On Sunday I received a call from a young, pleasant-voiced girl saying that she had found a wallet and I should collect it from Wembezi High School where she will meet me.

I proceeded with my husband and the young girl was very happy to hand over the wallet, which was intact.

I thanked her from the bottom of my heart and rewarded her.

In this time of corruption and lots of people who are dishonest, it’s hard to find an honest and obliging lass as Nokwanda Mnvelase, Grade 11 at Bhekundi Secondary School, who brings pride and honour to her family and school.

Honesty is the best policy and I wish everyone has your attitude, this world would be better place to live in.
