Lo and behold, power was on on the 30th but not on the 31st.
Having six days to plan for the outage or cancel given date, give new date etc, what happens? Nothing!
This is the second time this month this has happened. Phoning the telephone number supplied was a waste of time and money as the phone rang and rang without being answered.
Going to the municipality I was told it was a mistake.
Asking to see Mr Tupper, the Manager of the Electricity Department, I was told he was in a meeting and not available.
Has noone in the municipality the decency / ability to inform ratepayers of changing dates, etc.
After all, the municipality has our cell / tel numbers! Typical fat cat, don’t care attitude, of AbaQulusi Municipality.
