It seems to be that nobody checks up on municipal workers during the course of the day to see how far they have progressed with the tasks they were given to do.
The drain cover in front of Shepstone Place was removed and never replaced, surely this should have been demarcated with demarcation tape so as to prevent someone falling into it.
The senior tenants from Shepstone Place go out daily for their walks and any one of them could fall into this drain and cause themselves a serious injury.
Just lately in our local paper we read about a young child who fell into an uncovered drain, and yet this practice still goes on.
Why has nothing been done to eliminate this from happening again?
