Editor – I want to know one thing from the municipality and that is “Are they racist?”
I read that the local municipality has opened a new gym and park in Ezakheni, as well as various other projects. My question is: Why only in Ezakheni and not in town? We youngsters would also like to go to a gym and relax in a park with our friends and family. The municipality cannot expect us to go all the way to Ezakheni to use the facilities put up for the “community”!
I understand that Ezakheni is growing, but that doesn’t mean it must start getting the very best of everything and the rest of Ladysmith doesn’t get anything. Our town is lacking in entertainment and is becoming a ghost town. That’s the reason people can’t wait for the holidays so they can leave this town and go elsewhere. The reason is that there is no entertainment and no interesting facilities set up for the people. I hope the municipality catches a wake-up and keeps an eye on everyone’s future, not just some people.
