ANC clarifies Ward 4 candidate issue

The ANC wishes to thank community members of Ward 4, where the ANC was conducting door-to-door visits recently. 
The ANC is pleased with the reception that they received and the confidence that the people of Ward 4 have in the ANC. 
We further thank the churches that accepted Dudu Ncala as the candidate and prayed for leadership – as the ANC we understand that leaders are God-given, hence we visited churches to get their blessings.
The ANC wants to clarify that Ms Ncala will represent the ANC during the by-election in Ward 4 on July 2. She is the only person that will represent the ANC, although others are claiming otherwise. We further reiterate that Mr Ngobese does not represent the ANC, and is no longer a member of the party.
The community of Ward 4 should understand that an independent candidate will never serve their interests, but only personal selfish interests. 
This certain individual deliberately misled the community to turn them against other ANC councillors, and he had been absenting himself from the caucus of the ANC. 
Hence he was always arguing against the ANC in Council meetings, dividing members of the ANC and the community at large. In fact, the ANC and the Council will be better without him, and Comrade Dudu will ensure that the interests of the people of Ward 4 are advanced properly.
Mr Ngobese was never fired by the organisation – he resigned voluntarily from Council without even informing the ANC. He constantly defied the leadership of the ANC. 
When Luthuli House representatives from the office of General Secretary Gwede Mantashe called him, he never bothered to come because he knew that his behaviour was egocentric and always will be.
