Editor – I have been reading about the saga in Meena Place, with the Meena/Gazza Sporting Committee.
I don’t wish to express my views on that subject, but would like to request the Gazza name to be removed from the sporting committee or organisation. Our area name is being used to collect sporting equipment from the Department of Sport & Recreation and other businesses.
Our kids in Gazza Place don’t have soccer balls, volleyball nets, cricket bats and goal posts like Meena Place.
There are no events held in our area. If our kids wish to partake in any sports, then they have to go to Meena Place.
We would like to see our kids play on our own ground and in front of our eyes.
We urge the Department of Sport & Recreation and other businesses to please sponsor sporting equipment to our kids and bring it personally to Gazza Place.
