Editor – Is it time for the one-way system to come to an end? That is the question I pose to all like-minded individuals.
The one-way system was introduced under the leadership of then Public Safety chief Koos Breedt. He has since retired and I am once again asking whether the one-way system should be changed.
The excuses for its use are no longer valid. We have a second bridge across the Klip River. What benefits the one-way system once offered are long since gone.
We now face more problems than answers in the CBD and most of them have been created by the one-way system. It is time the municipality looked again at what is happening in the CBD.
Those who are interested in joining forces with me against the one-way system and getting council to revisit the entire structuring of the CBD can contact me on 036-637-6298.
