ON BEHALF of Northern Natal Amateur Boxing, Natal Amateur Boxing, South-Africa Amateur Boxing, Coastal Boxing (WP, Natal, Border, OP), our sincere condolences go to the family and close friends, especially to Marieta and daughter.

Koos Kriel was a founder member of the Vryheid Boxing Club. He served as secretary for many years; he was also secretary of the Northern Natal Amateur Boxing Association. He was a team manager for NNABO, NABO and the Coastal side. He also produced NNABO, NABO and Coastal as well as Springbok boxers from his Vryheid Boxing Club.

WOW! What an achievement.

He was also a provincial trainer, referee and judge. He put in a lot of training and effort in promoting boxing in the black community. He was exceptionally helpful when it came to his passion for boxing, punctual in everything he tackled.

His presence will be clearly missed in the field of boxing and his father figure has left a void in our hearts. He will dearly be missed by the boxing community. May he rest in peace.
