Madam – What if for a moment one could silence every single sound in the world, except for the music of the rhythm of a single heartbeat?

What if in that moment we could amplify every heartbeat of every person worldwide? What if one could realise in that moment that the very fact that your heart is beating means that you were meant to be, that you were meant to live… you were meant for life!!

From the moment you were conceived till the time your amazing journey began with that first cry that filled the air. It is in those moments when we embark on the most amazing journey called life, we start to see and notice things.

We start an exploration of this whole new world that is waiting to be discovered. Most of all, we discover that longing to be loved, held, nurtured, that longing to know we belong somewhere and that someone loves and accepts us. Through time we experience joy, pain, laughter, friendships, family, relationships, even the occasional break-up or disappointments.

We also get to know about abuse, because we see it daily before our eyes whether it is in the movies or on television, newspapers or magazines. It is displayed right before our eyes, many times in the peoples’ lives around us and even sometimes within our own lives.

It touches each and every one of our lives whether we choose to notice or turn a blind eye. I couldn’t help but wonder why we sometimes choose to go blinded by that which affects our lives daily.

It is a silent cry within our community, the longing to be heard and every now and then you can see its sly hand within the lives of many. It is the broken body at the bottom of a building, a crying child at the scene of accident; a bruised face at the end of a fist. The sirens of an ambulance racing to save the life that ended at other side of a gun.

When will choose to see? When will we choose to make a difference? Or will be choose to turn a blind eye?

What if I told you that the very fact your heart is beating right now, means that who you are can make a difference? That’s if you choose to listen?
