Sickened by dog killing motorist

Unfortunately, the AACL were busy with another call when someone phoned them about the dog

To the person who drove the black Golf that hit the dog in Carbineer Road on Thursday, August 21, at 12pm, you disgust me.

You drive like you are on your own personal racecourse and when you hit that dog, you did not have the decency to see if it was okay. You drove off without a care in the world.

Shame on you. I saw the way you drove and I heard you hit the dog, I then saw the poor dog die alone in the road, as I could not get to him quick enough. That dog was someone’s pet and that someone contacted the AACL to find him.

Unfortunately, the AACL were busy with another call when someone phoned them about the dog.

They were on their way to collect him and arrived about five minutes after you hit him. Pets are part of the family and now that family is mourning the death of a beloved pet.

How can you live with yourself? I just hope and pray that you don’t own any animals, as you don’t have any regard for their care. I am sorry an animal was hit, but I am very grateful it was not one of the many young children who play and ride bikes in the street.

I wonder: If it had been a child, would you have stopped?
