Troublesome roaming dogs

Is it just in the movies where one can walk your dog peacefully without any problems or is it just Estcourt where it’s an impossible task?

I love taking my energetic Jack Russell for a run on a leash but am getting harassed by roaming dogs. I have to carry a stick and constantly pick up my dog to avoid confrontation with other dogs. Thank you to the Good Samaritan who, while in his van, got between me and five other dogs on Wednesday, October 22 in Roland Hellet Road.

It’s scary having to protect my dog and myself against animals that really don’t know any better. I fully blame the owners for not giving their dogs a safe and secure home to live in. Such owners should not have the privilege to own animals. I therefore, call on the municipality and SPCA to please assist in keeping our streets and animals safe from such interferences. I trust that my next run will be a more enjoyable one.
