“No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks”

Families of injured electricians are grateful to the generous community

Sir,
The Carelse family wishes to sincerely thank each and everyone for all their good wishes and prayers during the recovery time in hospital following Callie Carelse and Andre Venter’s accident in Glencoe.
Both these municipal electricians suffered terrible burns caused by hot oil when a sub-station they were working on blew up in December. They were both rushed to the specialised burn unit at Richards Bay Hospital where both are still being treated.
Special thanks also to the EMRS and Dr Botha for their kind care and attention.
We hereby also extend our gratitude towards Willie du Plessis for providing transport to Andre Voster’s family to Richards Bay Hospital. A special word of thanks to the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Mkhize and his family and also to Callie and Andre’s colleagues who paid them a visit in hospital.
