Dear Sir thank u for what u doing for the town. I just wanted to ask with regards to youth development there is not much going on what will the municipality be doing about this for areas like fairleigh and fernwood we often feel neglected. Thank u.
Fairleigh is very central and has a host of facilities including Arbor Park sports facility… Fernwood sports field is already upgraded and in July we start planning a mini cricket facility there as well as upgrading the play park with outdoor gym equip.
NNmayor – Good day to you Cde. I read with interest your responses to the community this week and in the hope you can give me some answers. The sewage infrastructure in Bary Hertzog Park and Pioneer Park is very old with the result that there is always burst pipes and failing infrastructure. Will the municipality be addressing this?
R3-million has been set aside in the new budget to start the process of pipe replacement.

In the new dispensation, there are no cities. There is only metros, secondary cities and towns… Newcastle has been categorised as a secondary city having a similar status to a city.
