Stop the vile illegal dumping

What more can be done to educate some residents that rubbish belongs in a bin and not on the street

Illegal dumping is like a disease that is eating away at our society. Everywhere you go, you are bound to find a heap of rubbish, carelessly dumped.

Even our recreational areas are not left untouched. I noticed recently that people are even dumping at the ‘No dumping’ signs, isn’t this just obvious and unashamed disregard for the by-laws in our town?

What more can be done to educate some residents that rubbish belongs in a bin and not on the street? I am even more disgusted when I see the number of refuse bags containing soiled disposable nappies that are thrown into the rivers.

Who does this? Why would someone drive in their car with a bin bag of dirty nappies, just to throw it in a river?

I really can’t see the sense in this. Why can’t the nappies be left out on the refuse collection day? People, stop this vile habit. It is poisoning our fresh water.
