Grass cutting is not under control

Why does our municipality fail to execute tasks on time EVERY TIME and then leave our town to fall into a state of neglect

When I read the Acting Municipal Manager’s response about the overgrown verges in last week’s paper (Overgrown grass takes over sidewalks, page 2) I was not sure whether I should be amused or annoyed.

Saying that the municipality is on top of the grass cutting schedule is ludicrous!

How can a man who is tasked with being the accountable officer in our town be so oblivious to the overgrown grass EVERYWHERE in our town?

Has he taken a drive around Estcourt and seen the terrible state that the sidewalks are in?

Besides the long grass, litter is also a common problem EVERYWHERE in our town.

Why does our municipality fail to execute tasks on time EVERY TIME and then leave our town to fall into a state of neglect?

It seems like they are grossly failing in their duties to the rate-paying citizens in this town.

But what can we do because it seems like all our complaint fall on deaf ears?
