That park is an eyesore and an earsore..

ith the dry grass and those pine trees a flash fire here will be interesting to control with no water……or will the municipality be willing to foot the bill for these claims?

Sir
The problem of Coronation Park is something the municipality has consistently ignored ever since David Cebekhulu was municipal manager.
He at least called everybody together and tried to do something about it, but the lack of law enforcement put paid to that effort. Former Councillor Ngobese was the only one who reached out to the residents here and paid us a visit as well. With his influence we got the largest part of the park cordoned off for vehicular access, but a small part next to the bowling club remains accessible.
Every weekend at least up to ten cars, from as far as Gauteng move in, with blaring music and people getting drunk until all hours of the night. They leave behind lots of rubbish, but the municipality does not seem to care about that, or the noise local residents have to endure with all the shouting and screaming and music every week.
People have been highjacked here before, and I am sure it may happen again.

Are people incapable of reading nowadays, or do they just not care about being a nuisance to others?
Is the municipality willing to wait until people start shooting at each other here?
To get the police to enforce the law here is like pulling teeth every time, and the municipal signs clearly say no loud music, fires or alcohol allowed. Are people incapable of reading nowadays, or do they just not care about being a nuisance to others?
With our current lack of water, who is going to take responsibility for the damage if these people start a fire? With the dry grass and those pine trees a flash fire here will be interesting to control with no water……or will the municipality be willing to foot the bill for these claims?
