Madam – Rape has become a way of living in South Africa. South Africa has the highest rates of rape in the world.
Some people think that raping a virgin or baby will cure Aids. That is not true, so why do they keep on doing it? Looking at cases this year alone, only in Dundee:
11 December 2015 – A woman was robbed if a cellphone and then gang-raped by four men.
14 February 2016 – A 12-year-old girl was raped by her uncle after he sent her to buy Russians at a nearby tuckshop. When she returned, he forced her to undress and raped her. Afterwards he gave her three Russians and soup to eat.
15 February 2016 – An 18-year-old girl was raped by two men at gunpoint in her home in Lindelani.
25 February 2016 – Two brothers in Dundee was found guilty of raping an 18-year-old girl.
Even though most cases of rape are reported on a Friday and Saturday, it’s not to say the statistics is exaggerating. People tend to party and go out on a Friday or Saturday and thus in most cases become the victims.
I don’t think rapists gets the punishment they deserve. They get away with it much too easy.
Women and children who are victims of rape should not feel ashamed. It was not their fault. Their body has been violated, not by choice but by force. Please ladies, let the world know how shattered your life has become. It’s time to take a stand and not live in fear anymore.
