What is the definition of a ‘servant’?
As a leader you serve the people, not chase them to elect you again

A servant is a humble person who works very hard for people around them and who takes care of the impoverished. Due to their hard work and dedication; the people have no choice but to elect them without any doubt.
The community knows them by their serving status. If you want to be a servant, you need to have a positive mental shift towards serving people and a change in attitude in order to offer 100 percent to the people around you and not just yourself.
A real servant serves God with this mind set:
• You think more about the next person than yourself.
• They do not use God for their purpose by they let God use them for His purpose to help change the life of the people around them.
• Servants always think, act and execute every task like stewards; not owners who think like bosses.
• A servant never concerns himself with how far his neighbour is with their tasks and never makes excuses to meet a deadline.
• They root their identity in Christ for he was the first servant who walked the Earth.
• He saves and serves his followers and non-followers equally.
• Servants think of the ministry/mission as an opportunity, not an obligation. They enjoy helping people and meeting needs.
I have found it to be true that only secure people can serve others, because insecure people tend to worry about how they appear to others. The more insecure you feel, the more you feel you need approval from others. Beyond no doubt, a servant does not need to cover their office walls with plaques and awards to validate their work.
They do not insist on being addressed by titles. They do not wrap themselves in robes of superiority but they are down-to-earth, with a passion of serving their people. Servants find status symbols unnecessary because it does not make them who they are, their humbleness does and it is that, that produces accolades from the community.
As a leader you serve the people, not chase them to elect you again. It is up to you, the ball is in your court.
The truth still remains that the only people who are happy are those who have learned how to serve others whole heartedly and bona fide.
Be decisive, so that you will be a good servant of this era and make this world a better place.
