Barely a week goes by, where I do not pick up the Newcastle Advertiser and see how someone has undertaken some charitable cause to help someone in need.
We truly have a loving town, where people go the extra mile to ensure a positive contribution is made to society as a whole.
At one stage of my life, I believed charity should be kept secret. However, with all the negativity in our world, it is inspiring to see people still trying to help others.
Where others show no concern for the welfare of the less fortunate, I can say Newcastle is one of those towns where people always rush to help.
