Editor – Maybe someone in Alfred Duma Municipality can tell me why Ladysmith streets are once again overgrown with grass and weeds. We are not just talking backwater streets in the outer suburbs, but in parts of the CBD we see weeds and grass grown in the gutters, pavements and on the street surface as well.
How hard is it to get Parks & Gardens to actually clean up the streets? Surely that is their job.
Forgive me for asking, but the municipality can spend millions on concerts and birthday bashes, yet we cannot get simple services to the people.
It is disgusting to drive through town and see weeds, grass and litter everywhere. What is the point of a clean municipal audit when our town is turned into a pig stye?
Come on Parks & Gardens, make us proud and clean up the mess you have let go unattended for so long!
