Serious action needs to be taken with Centurion residents. At the time of writing this letter, it is Friday and this litter has been collecting since Tuesday, after our refuse was collected. Each resident is being billed for refuse collection monthly; well they are supposed to be!
Refuse collection is once a week. Do these people think they are entitled for the truck to come past daily and collect? It is time that the management of this town take control of their duties and ensure that you get this refuse dumping stopped.
Fine the culprits, bill everyone who lives there extra on their accounts or bill the landlord. Refuse lying around for days and stinking in this heat draws flies, rats and maggots.
Eventually we have a sick neighbourhood that is full of disease. Health inspectors should do their jobs and come, even from Ladysmith, to do a thorough inspection of this disintegrating, filthy, stinking town.
It seems like the residents of Centurion don’t mind stinking packets at their entrance. We mind seeing it daily. So please keep your stinking refuse on your own premises until TUESDAY MORNING.
If by any chance your refuse isn’t collected on Tuesday, you can phone the municipality and they WILL come out.
Edith, you are our ward councillor. Please get together with the culprits of Centurion and the municipal management and resolve this infested problem we have to deal with daily.
