ditor – With rumour upon rumour of imminent arrests, I have to ask what is going on at the municipality?
As a ratepayer, I need to know just how deep the corruption goes and why our councillors are blind to what is going on.
We voted for them, yet they seem to be the toadies of officials.
Instead of councillors telling officials what to do, we get officials dictating to councillors what is right and wrong! Enough is enough! It is time councillors took back control of our municipality.
They must get rid of the dead wood and place-holder officials that suck our municipal coffers dry.
Everyone deserves service delivery, including rural residents in the Ekuvukeni area.
The time has come when everyone needs to get a fair share deal.
But it is no use complaining alone!
We are in this together; everyone is a resident of Greater Ladysmith, whether they live in Observation Hill, Colenso, Van Reenen or Ezakheni.
We all count and we all deserve services.
More importantly, we all deserve jobs and when service delivery threatens jobs, those officials responsible need to be removed.
Say “no” to tender fraud, say “no” to music festivals and handouts. We all want jobs and job security, not a once-off party. Those working in job creation posts should be the first considered for permanent jobs when they become available.
We need to stand together as a community and demand that our town leaders make things better!
One Job One Vote
