A round of applause for Mr and Mrs Panday

In today's age, being married for 20 years is an achievement as people often give up at the first major obstacle in their marriage.

Madam – I loved reading about Harriprasad and Premwathi Panday, it isn’t every day that you read about a couple who have been married for 60 years.

In today’s age, being married for 20 years is an achievement as people often give up at the first major obstacle in their marriage. Very few realise, married life is all about obstacles, working hard to make their life work and compromising.

Married life starts off because of love, but love does not hold a marriage together. It takes respect, loyalty, faithfulness, patience and friendship.

To Mr and Mrs Panday, congratulations on your anniversary and I hope young married couples can lead from your example and strive to ensure their marriages last just as long.
