It’s a new dawn for the Khoisan classified coloured communities for the long-awaited Bill, which took over 13 years to be put together.
The NKC, named National Khoisan Committee, worked with the ministry for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) and other government departments to put together this Bill.

This Bill allows the Khoisan/coloured powers to regulate themselves and appointments of their leadership. Their leadership will sit in municipalities and local and provincial structures, representing the cause. The Khoisan Bill allows us to form a provincial council and advisory council for the Premier.
The National Appointed Reference Elected Group (Nareg) is presenting the only structure elected by the communities. It is also the only structure that represents all five bloodlines of the Khoisan. Now, the way forward is that our people must come together.
The door is open, now we are part of the development plan for the first time in the country since our forefathers were dispossessed.
Our historical landmarks and heritage sites must be handed over and KwaZulu-Natal has been divided into three regions, which are East Griqualand, under the leadership of the Griquas, Glen Joubert, KZN coastline under the leadership of Peter Samuels and the Midlands Northern KZN led by Raymond Trollip.
We now call our people to attend all meetings; our up-coming meeting will have a register. Those that can lead, please come forward and let us make it work.
It has been 30 years in this struggle, now is the time. Some people are not happy but get up and let us make it work. The meeting will be held at the Colita Hall on December 18. Come all and learn.
Prince Raymond Trollip
