Fed up with water woes

The problem cannot be due to large amounts of silt in the Tugela River

Editor – I am fed up with the water situation in the Aloe Park area.

I live in the area and almost every day we are left without water.

When we phone the uThukela Call Centre, most of the time they do not answer their phones and other times they have no answers to our questions.

The problem cannot be due to large amounts of silt in the Tugela River. I refuse to swallow that story! When last did we have a very bad storm?

This is really not on! We, as ratepayers, pay our water accounts EVERY month and when we don’t, they are quick to come to our homes to disconnect us.

But on an everyday basis, we are left without water. How is this fair?

Our children, pets and elderly people are suffering.

In the “locations”, they don’t even pay for water but they have a plentiful supply, not battling like we are. Sorry to sound racist, but it’s the truth.

We want the truth from uThukela as to what is going on. uThukela, man up and tell us the truth – we have the RIGHT to know!
