Customer disappointed with service at store

"The manager was called; he abruptly told me that he can't sell the groceries to me, without an explanation and rudely walked away,

On January 29, I walked into a supermarket in Albert Street in order to purchase groceries. They consisted of four 10kg bags of rice, 10 tubes of toothpaste and 12 cans of insect repellent.

Only two tills were opened and I approached till one and queued there for about 10 minutes. While on the verge of placing my items on the counter, the cashier refused to scan my groceries.

I had not noticed the sign stating 10 items or less, simply because it was hidden by a shopping bag that was hanging up for sale.

The manager was called; he abruptly told me that he can’t sell the groceries to me, without an explanation and rudely walked away, leaving me disappointed.

In my personal opinion, this was a racist act and I’m afraid that the manager is incompetent to do his job.
