Extremists have shown that what frightens them most is a woman with vision. Women are not created weaker but more generous than men.
They are created beautiful as beauty hates to hurt and harm others. That is why they seem weak to people, but in reality they are not.
Angels are the strongest of created beings and women are closer to the angelic nature than men as they are readier than men to carry light. I quote Prophet Muhammad.
Swimming against the current, women have had to speak louder to get their voices heard. In the words of Virginia Woolf they have had to create a room of their own and this is why there is no limit to what women can accomplish.
We are all taught about respect and the impact it has on our lives and the people around us, why then do we chose not to respect women, when they are the epitome of our beings?
When you see the innocence in a daughter, when you feel the care in the form of a sister, her warmth in the form of a friend, her passion in the form of a beloved, dedication in the form of a wife, divinity in the form of a mother, so I ask you to sit back, think and reflect and then maybe, just maybe you’d know their worth.
Keep in mind that every girl you pass today, will one day be a mother. How then can you not respect your mother, when she first carried you in her body, then in her arms and for a lifetime in her heart? Understanding women can be easy, if you allow it
As Maya Angelo once said: “That they don’t have to shout or jump about or have to talk really loud, but when you see them passing it ought to make you proud, it’s in the click of her heels the bend of her hair, the palm of her hand. The need for her care.”
Yeah, she’s everything she wants to be, a phenomenal woman. It’s in the fire of their eyes, and the flash of their teeth, the swing in their waists, the joy in their feet. Try and tread them in dirt we still like dusk, will rise.
Empower women, empower the human community, don’t you know the base on which the world stands is a woman?
Because they are not the weaker sex. They are the other sex.
I’m not telling you to not look at women. Just the opposite. I’m telling you to see them, really see them, not just with your eyes but with your entire being, stop looking for something to tickle your senses but instead see a human being.
So here’s to strong women, may we know them. May we raise them and to all the females around me, may we be them. I leave with the words I hear ever so often, wathinta abafazi, wathinta umbokodo.
