The ruling party has failed us yet again

This move was long overdue and just proves that any municipality run by the ANC is bound for failure

Editor – uThukela District Municipality being put under administration has come as no surprise to the Inkatha Freedom Party.

This move was long overdue and just proves that any municipality run by the ANC is bound for failure.

It’s a disgrace that the very same voters who put the ruling party into power at uThukela District Municipality are now forced to consume sewage-contaminated water from rivers where they reside, as none of the sewer pump stations in and around Ladysmith are operational.

The ANC must take full responsibility for this mess, as people’s lives are at stake. The ruling party should take a leaf out of the books from IFP-run municipalities…

The voters get what they voted for, service delivery is prioritised and they are corruption-free municipalities.

Most of uThukela District Municipality funding has been misused on tenders, parties, extravagant outings for councillors, poorly-organised mayoral events, fruitless and wasteful expenditure, and jobs for pals. This is an eye-opener to all voters who voted for the ruling party… Reconsider, as the ruling party has failed yet again. Instead, the voters should vote for the IFP – the tried and tested alternative.
