The ARK Support Group would like to thank the Estcourt family that made a generous donation to our support group.
We have donated a wheelchair to Mrs Rhona van de Linde, who is an amputee and has hip problems, together with many other complications. She has also asked us to thank the family that made such a huge change in her life.

We have also donated a four-wheel aluminium walker with a handbrake to Mr Daniel Schultz (senior).
He too has asked us to thank the family that has made such a huge difference in his life. He is now able to move around more freely and without any assistance.

We have donated a shower chair to Shailen, who has numerous medical issues, including bone cancer and degenerative spinal disease. Thank you to all who have made such huge differences in people’s lives.
People like me (Shailen), who are confined to our beds, having the ability to be able to move around just a little makes a huge impact on not only our physical but also our mental well-being.

We have a raised toilet seat for someone who has had a hip replacement. If you are interested in it, please contact Shailen on 074-858-5809.

We, at ARK Support Group, would also like to thank Dr Kekana for the wonderful changes she has implemented since taking office at Estcourt Hospital.

She has made it possible for cancer patients and other critical patients to be treated as priority patients, and this has made a huge difference for me; as sitting for long periods increases the amount of pain I suffer and increases my blood pressure to critical and to a point that I could have another stroke.

Thank you to the staff of the outpatients department, Mrs Naidoo and the staff at physiotherapy for the special care they give to us, and the pharmacy staff who are always willing and trying to meet our demands (although they are restricted by financial resources) and getting medications that are sometimes just not available.

We strongly believe that credit must be given where credit is due.
Thank you to the community for your support. There are times when you do things that make a difference in someone’s life, but you don’t realise it and how much of an impact you actually make.
