Readers concerned about water bill confusion

"At the moment, everybody is in the dark...."

Editor –
Herewith an enquiry regarding the functionality of Umzinyathi District Municipality.
The public is unable to obtain water accounts / address queries regarding amounts owing, as reflected in cell-phone messages sent.
I today telephoned the emergency services number and was told that the Umzinyathi offices would be closed until further notice. Is this acceptable? Should the closure of the offices not be advertised in your paper? How on earth is the public supposed to know what is going on?
The same can be said of Endumeni Municipality. It would also be appreciated if the public could be made aware of their times of operation.
At the moment, everybody is in the dark.
Any light you may be able to shed on the subject would be much appreciated.
