The 22-year-old takes pride in spitting lyrics just about anywhere as part of the never-ending hustle.
‘N-Tida’ matriculated at Drakensberg Secondary School in 2015 and after a gap year managed to study towards a Bachelor of Education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Edgewood Campus in Durban.
He loves to see the music industry thrive, saying that one can focus completely on their passion and talent and not have to have a qualification to back you or find a job to financially support yourself.
“I started recording while in grade 10. I recall taking my talent seriously once completing school. While working part time, my love for music grew. Being unable to further my studies straight away came as a blessing in disguise and I got a chance to complete my first mix tape titled Only Time Will Tell,” shared the lad.
Ever since then, N-Tida had the ball rolling. He is part of the Cypher Zone Sessions Hip-Hop movement, which takes place on the last Friday of the month in Estcourt. He proudly released an extended play record titled Happy Endings.
Happy Endings focuses on a love-struck couple trying to make the relationship work while hustling to fund their dreams.
It is available on all online downloading platforms. N-Tida hopes to inspire the youth to take more action in what they want to pursue and avoid procrastination. His journey thus far has urged him to support community projects and become an active citizen.
“I also plan to tackle fear because of this; I’ve missed out on a lot of opportunities. I don’t want talented youngsters to have a negative outlook on life and turn to drugs and alcohol and that why I recommend the Cypher Zone Sessions,” N-Tida explained with excitement.
