EPIC FINISH: Blast Furnace claims victory at soccer league

When the final took place at Paradise Sports Grounds on Friday, August 4, with the favourite to win was Rod Mill, as they had not lost a single game, while Blast Furnace were two points behind.

The atmosphere was electrifying as fans packed the stands in anticipation of a humdinger of a match and they were not disappointed.

Blast Furnace scored a goal within a minute of the start of the game, with a second goal coming shortly before half time.

Crowds erupted in jubilation as Rod Mill managed to score a goal, after being awarded a penalty.

The final score was three-one in Blast Furnace’s favour – a fitting end to a super ArcelorMittal Soccer League.
