Newcastle’s Annecke wins at IFFB SAs
Annecke says winning at the national event is her proudest achievement in fitness to date.
After attending and winning the Western Cape Provincials, former Newcastillian, Annecke Eyssen qualified for the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) SA Championships, which was hosted in Johannesburg from September 1 to 4.
At the championships, Annecke won the Under 163cm Beach Bikini Champion title. She was also crowned Overall Bikini Champion after competing against the Over 163cm Beach Bikini Champion.
In May of this year, I began training for the WP Provincials. I train for about an hour a day, six days a week, and I do a combination of weight training and cardio,” explained Eyssen.
Moving forward, Eyssen hopes to advance in the bikini division, which will necessitate a longer bulking season in order to meet the required criteria.
