Mother Nature had her say when it came to deciding some of the cricket fixtures this week, but the action prevailed in the others.
On Wednesday evening Molls and Mascor faced off in a T20 clash.
Mascor battsd first but were bundled out for only 109. Logan top-scored with 37, while Shaun chipped in with 12.
Daniel was deadly with the ball, taking 4/11, and Wilfred supported him well, taking 3/11. In reply Molls made the score with seven wickets in hand and three overs to spare. Logan took 2/19 and Oniel took 1/18. Francois top-scored with 36 and Collin made 30 as Molls claimed the victory.
In the other T20 game, Ace Eagles beat Endumeni Development thanks to the D/L method. Endumeni Development batted first and made an impressive 178/6 from their 20 overs. Nishen impressed with 57 and Leonadro made 33. Ashraaf took 2/24 and Ayob took 1/10 for Ace Eagles.
In reply they reached 97/3 in 12 overs when the heavens opened up. Best batsman for Ace Eagles was Ashfak with 42, and Sumali made 18. Best bowler was Abdullah (1/9) and Jonathan (1/15). Ace Eagles won by seven runs on the D/L method.
In the Saturday 30-Over League, Legends and Farmers shared the points after their game was rained out.
In the second 30-over game, Molls picked up another impressive win when they took on Castle Knights. Molls raced to 217/9 in their allotted overs.
Wilfred top-scored with 55 not out, and Sakkie also impressed, making 50. Brendlyn took 3/32 and Asheel took 2/38. In reply Castle Knights were bowled out for a measly 93. Abed made 19 and Asheel made 13. Wilfred also was chief destroyer with the ball, taking 5/20, and Collin took 3/12.
