KZN Inland Challenge League action heated up on Sunday, with NDCU taking on Dundee in a 50-over encounter at Settlers Park.
Dundee batted first and were bowled out for a meagre 82 runs. NDCU bowlers Karen Gokul, Azhar Akoo, Vuyo Hlongwane and Ahmed Kharva took two wickets each.
The Ladysmith team then went in to bat and had no trouble chasing down the target set for them, losing only one wicket. This meant that NDCU won by nine wickets, with Shaukat Sidat making 42 runs and Nathaniel Israel 28.
A T20 match was played between Ladysmith and Dundee after the 50-over encounter to make a day great day of cricket even better.
