On Saturday, November 30 a field of 60 golfers played in the Mavericks BBBS competition.

Winners on 50 points were Ram Ramwater and Zaffar Jhetam.

Second on 48 points were welcome visitors Ash Ranoo and Rajen Govender.

Third on 47 points were Viren Omardath and Rajen Goodoon on a count out from fourth placed Ajeesh Lalparsad and Moekie Ghasita.

Prizes went all the way down to tenth place.

Nearest to the pins were as follows: –

Number three – Roy Magan (Did he use a tailor made club?)

Number seven – Roy Ramkissoon.

Number 12 – Sunil Magan.

Number 16 – Noel Ramdeen.

Longest drive on hole number 15 – J Elsworthy.

After some wind and rain to test the golfers, prizegiving followed by a sumptuous supper and live entertainment (by DJ Shanton) awaited the golfers.

Special thanks to Nikki Titlestad, Captain Wilfie Laatz and team as well as the hardworking barmen David and Musa.

Also many thanks to Kamy and his team for all the work entailed in organising this popular competition, including the wonderful prizes.

The challenge of the inclement weather certainly did not dampen the spirits of the golfers who all had a wonderful day of golf, entertainment and socialising.

Last Wednesday’s comp. was won by Frank Ashe and Eijvind Vlok and Friday’s nine hole comp by Deejay Ramdhav.
