Bad weather halts tournament

The club is confident that all team players that participated enjoyed the tournament. Five local teams, two Pietermaritzburg teams and two Ladysmith teams participated.

Nine teams competed in the Umtshezi Volleyball Club (UVC) Closing Tournament held at Lambert Park on Saturday.

Unfortunately the tournament had to be stopped during the semi-final stage due to inclement weather.

However, the club is confident that all team players that participated enjoyed the tournament.

Five local teams, two Pietermaritzburg teams and two Ladysmith teams participated.

Semi-final one was contested between Holmes and Lilani and semi-final two was between Team 150 and Spartans, but these games had to be called off. “We had a good response and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tournament. We would like to thank the team from Estcourt Secondary School for participating,” said Kashen Naidoo from UVC.
