Miners win major Business League bowls trophy

The new Stone Last trophy was convincingly won by the Harcourts team.

Carl Arndt and Dougie Slabbert succumbed to Greg Connelly (Martinus Miller’s stand-in) and Ian De Jager after 20 ends, with a score of 22-14 in the final of the Club Men’s Pairs.
Business League ends
The Paul Coetser Brokers Business League ended on a high with the trophy being won by the Aviemore team, with the LRA team as runners-up. The new Stone Last trophy was convincingly won by the Harcourts team.
There has been much interest in and enthusiasm about the next Business League, to be sponsored by LRA and starting on Thursday, January 30.
Please note that the first 12 teams that pay will be entered.

The prize-giving will take place on Saturday at 9am, followed by the Christmas Gobble Fun Bowls Day at 9:45am. Please enter your name on the notice board or contact Nan on 082 446 9916 to enter. There will be a Chinese braai after bowls.
A big thank you to all at Dundee Country Club for coming to our rescue when the lawnmower packed up.

Marthinus Muller was to skip for the winning men’s pairs, but due to his illness could not complete.
