Vryheid Bowling Club – welcome to 2014, folks

WE hope that everyone had a peaceful festive season and a wonderful start to 2014. May we all have a super bowling year. On Thursday, January 16, we invite the participating businesses to come and auction their skips for the coming Business League, which starts on January 21 at 5:15pm for 5:30pm. This will be fun and games. Friday, January 17, we start our Sundowners Trips. Remember, Team Tab rating must be no higher than 7. Please note the time 4:15pm for 4:30pm, and wear club colours. Entries close on Thursday at 6:00pm. On Saturday we have our first Wimpy sponsored day with prizes and a lucky draw. Thereafter we will have a Wimpy sponsored day every second month. Thank you, Elfriede for your generous sponsorship. We hope to see many bowlers on the green. Another monthly sponsored day comes from Chicano’s. The first one will be on Wednesday, January 22. We will try to make these fun days, playing 4-2-4 or Snakes and Ladders etc. Thanks to Noellene for your sponsorship, it is much appreciated. On a sadder note we had to say goodbye to Beulah, who passed away on the December 28. Your cheerful voice will be missed on the green. Our sincere condolences go to the Mentz family and to Robert.
